According to world health organisation,(WHO)," Health is a state of balance between the individual and surrounding world, a state of harmony between oneself and other, a co-existence between the realities of the self and that of other people and that of the environment, our endless desires make us physically and mentally ill. our materialistic desires made us forget our spiritual values.
Yoga is a ancient indian science. The word yog is derived from the root word yuj which means is union. this can further describe as uniting the oneself with the universal the consciousness.
Maharshi Patanjali describes 196 aphorisms in classical treatise the "Yog Sutra", in 900 B.C. This is very useful to understand the concepts of yoga. there are many branches of yoga. Broadly classifies into four streams.
1) KARMA YOGA
2) BHAKTI YOGA
3) GYANA YOGA
4) RAJA YOGA
Yoga deals with the physical, mental, moral and spiritual wellbeing of an individual. Yoga is a process of gaining control over the mind. Good health is reflected in purpose of life. One has full control over his behavior. The outside conflicts can"t disturb him. As we are living in the era where psychological problems are increasing and which further arise in to the physical diseases. Yoga can control these problems surely This the time to turn to yoga, the great boon for the human race. Though some asanas or postures may difficult to do, but after practicing patiently on can perform the asanas easily.
