" SAMADHI "
This the last stage of ashtang yoga.When a person is reached here, there is nothing to achieve. The unity with the divine universe takes place at this stage, one can say this is infinite enchanting. so the person or the yogi wants to remain in this stage for forever.
In sanskrit we can define as......
"tadevarthamatranirbhasam svarupasunyamiva samadhi "\
The same (contemplation) when there is conciousness only of the object of meditation and not of itself (the mind) is samadhi ! Dharana is focusing of mind leads to relaxed dwelling the mind on a single thought is dhyana. Further long practice of dhyana leading to thoughtless stage or super conscious stage is called as samadhi.
Here the meditator comes to realize a profound connection to divine.This is the stage enlightment can neither be brought nor expressed. This stage can be reached only going through the devotion. One has to follow all the seven stages or steps with devotion then only one an reach to the great stage of samadhi. This is the wholeness or oneness with the supreme one.
