Pomegranate-Anar
Pomegranate is
also known as Anar. Texts of ayurveda describe its immense medicinal properties
and its uses to maintain human health. The fruit peel, seeds, bark and leaves
of this plant are of great medicinal values in Ayurveda.
This fruit is the combination of different tastes
like sweet, sour and astringent evolve at different stages. It is light to
digest and increases the moistness of tissues. Its potency is neither cold nor
hot. It normalizes all three doshas. It contains antioxidants like ellagic
acid, punicic acid. The pomegranate juice is rich source of vitamin A, C and E.
